Day 1: Arrive Rovaniemi
Welcome to Finland, the Land of A Thousand Lakes. Upon arrival in Rovaniemi, the Capital of the Finnish Lapland, find your way to a hotel (A Private transfer can be pre-booked in advance).
Lapland is as close as reality gets to those who dream of a winter wonderland. Contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland where 24 hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark winter days. The hustle and bustle of towns and ski resorts is just minutes away from the peace and quiet of the wild wilderness.

Day 2: Santa's Village and Reindeer Sled Ride
After breakfast in the hotel, we start the day immediately immersing yourself into the magic of Lapland. First stop today is the Santa Claus Village located on the Arctic Circle. You will participate in the traditional ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle and receive a diploma certifying your visit.
After the ceremony, you will experience a reindeer sled at the Santa Claus Village and enjoy a hot drink around the fire.
There will be some free time for you to explore the village and meet the local star, the Santa Claus, in his official home. Free time for lunch.
You can also visit the Santa's Post Office to send a letter to yourself or a loved one, with the official stamp of Santa. Wander around the various souvenir shops and enjoy the magic atmosphere in the village before you transfer back to your hotel.

Meals: Breakfast

Day 3: Huskies & Polar Zoo of Ranua (160 kms)
Our first stop today is a Husky Farm, where you will learn all you need to know about huskies and their way of living. After the introduction, take the opportunity to get a ride through a mini husky safari (3 km) with a musher. After the ride you will have some time to meet and photograph these beautiful dogs; and ask all the questions you may have regarding this business & sport.
There will be free time for lunch before our next visit, to the northern most zoo in the world, Ranua. Your guide will take you on a brisk walk outdoors to admire the Arctic wildlife in their genuine wilderness setting. Elk, Reindeer, Wolverines, Arctic Fox and of course the impressive Polar Bear can be found in this Zoo.
There will be a little free time for food lovers to discover the shop of the famous Finnish Fazer Chocolates before we return to the hotel.

Day 4: Rovaniemi - A Night in a Glass Igloo
After breakfast, you will have a free day to enjoy Rovaniemi and its surroundings as you desire! Why not discover the magnificent Arktikum Museum and learn about the Sami, original people of Lapland.
Another option is to enjoy one of the many activities offered in the area. You can go shopping in town, or take a walk along the banks of the Ounasjoki River, to enjoy the winter landscapes of Lapland. Do not hesitate to ask your tour escort for advice, he is there to make sure you enjoy Lapland to the fullest.
Free time for lunch before your afternoon transfer for your magical stay under the starry skies in your heated 1st Class Glass Igloo.

Tonight enjoy Dinner and the night in a Glass Igloo and if heaven permits, you will have a first class seat from your warm bed to witness the magnificent Northern Lights.
